HITEC has announced the 100 most influential Hispanic leaders in technology for 2021 – the HITEC 100 – during Hispanic Heritage Month.

The list highlights the value that Hispanic leaders have been creating in the tech industry for over a decade. Its mission is to celebrate and increase Hispanic representation and leadership, as well as build stronger technology, in the “diversity-challenged” tech industry.

“2020 has been a year of challenges and unimaginable global change. During these times, our leaders have worked to change the conversation, using technology to innovate and create meaningful impact,” said HITEC Chairman and CEO of Kloudspot, Guillermo Diaz Jr. “It’s because of these leaders and innovators that businesses and families around the world have been able to stay connected. It is an extremely proud moment for the Hispanic community and the tech industry to recognise and celebrate these leaders.”

ACCOMPLISHED TECHS

Nominations for the HITEC 100 are solicited from HITEC members, partners and the general public. Awardees are evaluated on their tech accomplishments, as well as mentoring and professional development activities, confirmed HITEC.

“With each passing year, the HITEC 100 continues to strengthen in calibre and representation at the highest levels of Hispanic talent in the technology industry,” added HITEC Board Member and Chair of the Awards Committee, Juan Carlos Gutierrez. He is also Head of Latam Solution Architecture and Customer Success, Amazon Web Services (AWS). “This year, HITEC received a record number of nominations, which shows the growth in visibility and impact that HITEC has in the community. We continue raising the bar in a more challenging selection process,” he continued

The HITEC’s Top 100 most influential Hispanic leaders in tech work for companies across various sectors. This includes global firms such as SAP, Salesforce, Accenture, Dell, Bank of America, Microsoft, Google, IBM, Cisco and Morgan Stanley. Awardees will attend a virtual online ceremony on 8 December, 2020. Click here to view the full list of 2021’s HITEC 100.
