The professional networking platform for the LGBTQ+ business community, myGwork, has announced the launch of a new programme designed to help expats and relocators from the LGBTQ+ business community to make new connections in a new city.

The myGwork Country Ambassadors Programme connects LGBTQ+ expats with local experts in their new city; to boost networking, connections and growth. As international travel re-opens and restrictions ease, many LGBTQ+ people will be moving. Whether travelling to or relocating to a new city, state or country, myGwork recognises that starting fresh in a new place is exciting; but it can also be daunting. When trying to connect in a new place, there’s always bars and dating apps to turn to when trying to make friends; however, making new professional connections can prove challenging. The myGwork Country Ambassador Programme helps to bridge this gap, according to the networking platform.

MAKING NEW BUSINESS CONNECTIONS

Co-founder and CMO of myGwork, Adrien Gaubert, said he was inspired to launch the myGwork Country Ambassador programme after he relocated to Guanzhou from Paris, early on in his career. “While I fell in love with the city and culture, I found it hard to make LGBTQ+ professional connections,” shared Gaubert. “This new programme aims to help the many people that find themselves in this situation, all over the world.”

In key major cities around the globe, myGwork Country Ambassadors welcome new arrivals; helping them to make connections, network and thrive. Every city is different, and so is its local LGBTQ+ business community; something that every local ambassador has deep knowledge of, and can share with recently arrived expats/relocating business travellers.

From learning about the most inclusive employers in town, to finding LGBTQ+ networking events, to tips on job-hunting in a second language, myGwork Country Ambassadors are there to help. Whether at home or abroad, myGwork allows LGBT+ professionals to connect and grow their network; find their next job with an inclusive organisation; or browse global events and news. “This is networking like never before,” concluded Gaubert. “This is myGwork.”
