Today we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. It was launched to highlight that all people with down syndrome must have opportunities to live fulfilling lives, on a full and equal basis with others, in all aspects of society.

To celebrate this year’s theme ‘Leave no one behind’, special events will be hosted worldwide by organisations, such as the UN in New York and Geneva, and the UK’s Down’s Syndrome Association, to promote the message that society needs to make sure that ‘we leave no one behind’.

You too can help to ensure that ‘no one is left behind’ by sharing your bright socks on social media with the hashtags #LotsofSocks #LeaveNoOneBehind and #WDSD19.
