Events firm d&i Leaders, specialising in diversity and inclusion (D&I), has launched a series free online workplace inclusion webinars over the summer.

The six complimentary 40-minute webinars scheduled throughout June and July of 2020, will feature D&I experts, covering a range of topics from how inclusion drives innovation to intersectionality.

WEBINARS IN JUNE

On June 3, John Athanasiou, Director of People of HarperCollins and Stephen Frost, CEO and Founder of Frost Included, will explore: How Inclusion Drives Innovation. They will look at what innovation really means and how inclusion facilitates it. They will also provide examples of inclusion driving innovation in practice. 

On June 9, Rachel Osikoya, Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion of Maersk Group, and Simon Fillery, Principal Consultant of SiFI Diversity, will explore The Impact of Well-Being on the D&I Agenda. Themes covered will include:

  • What is the impact of wellbeing on the D&I agenda?
  • What are the current and future challenges?
  • How can collaboration across specialist areas such as D&I, benefits, engagement, OHS can support wellbeing?
  • What are the global nuances?
  • What does success look like and how do you measure it?

On June 18, Priscilla Baffour, Global Head of Diversity & Inclusion of the Financial Times and Lauren von Stackelberg, Global Head of Inclusion & Diversity of Expedia Group, will explore the topic of Inclusion Audiences: Expanding Your Reach. They aim to reflect on how the D&I agenda is evolving to focus on a broader range of audiences and in doing so, exponentially increasing its impact. They also explain how inclusion plays a role in external marketing, sales, prospecting, communications/media, digital access efforts and more.

On June 23, Natalie Sigona, Head of Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement at BAE Systems and Gamiel Yafai, Diversity & Inclusion Strategist of Diversity Marketplace will explore Inclusion & Diversity – Thinking differently in a new norm. They aim to discuss the silver linings that the lockdown may have brought about for organisations. They will explore:

  • How have different habits and working practices resulted in more flexibility, agility, innovation during this time?
  • What must we keep in place in order for businesses to survive and prosper going forwards?

On June 30, Rukasana Bhaijee, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Lead, formerly with EY and Dr Doyin Atewologun, Director of Delta Alpha Psi will explore What is Intersectionality and Why Does it Matter? They will not only provide some background to intersectionality, but also explain the benefits of intersectional thinking for D&I and talent strategies.

WEBINARS IN JULY

Finally, on July 7, Anne Foster, Head of Workforce Diversity at the BBC and Nina Goswami, Creative Diversity Lead and Journalist, also at the BBC, will explore the topic of Diversifying workforces through inclusive communications. They will explain the 50:50 mindset and how can this work for your organisation, the importance of role-modelling and inclusive language, and how D&I professionals can help drive a mindset shift across the organisation.
