Write For Us

Fair Play Talks welcomes contributions from leaders, practitioners, researchers and experts exploring the human side of responsible business.

We publish thoughtful, experience-led perspectives on leadership, workplace culture, inclusion, wellbeing and the future of work, with a focus on what responsible business looks like in practice, not simply in principle.

We are particularly interested in contributions exploring:

  • Responsible leadership and organisational accountability.
  • Inclusion, belonging and workplace culture.
  • Employee wellbeing and sustainable work.
  • Ethical leadership and responsible business practices.
  • Workplace trends and the future of work.
  • Organisational trust, fairness and culture.

Our goal is to create a platform for credible, informed and constructive conversations that help organisations move beyond statements and towards meaningful change.

What We Look For

We prioritise contributions that are:

  • Grounded in lived or professional experience.
  • Relevant to current workplace and leadership conversations.
  • Thoughtful, practical and evidence-informed.
  • Balanced, insightful and constructive in tone.

Strong contributions typically:

  • Explore a clear workplace or leadership challenge.
  • Offer practical insight, examples or lessons.
  • Encourage reflection, discussion or new thinking.
  • Connect broader workplace trends to real human experiences.

Our Editorial Approach

Fair Play Talks is an editorial platform, not a promotional content platform. We value:

  • Insight over messaging.
  • Substance over buzzwords.
  • Experience over corporate positioning.
  • Thoughtful discussion over polarised debate.

We are particularly interested in perspectives that bring nuance, honesty and real-world understanding to workplace and leadership conversations.

What We Do Not Publish

To maintain editorial integrity, we do not publish:

  • Promotional or sales-led content.
  • Product marketing or advertorial copy.
  • Press releases presented as opinion pieces.
  • Overly generic or purely theoretical commentary.
  • Content generated primarily for backlinks or SEO purposes.

Mentions of organisations, products or services should always be relevant, contextual and non-promotional.

Style & Format

Suggested article length: 700–1,000 words.

We encourage writing that is:

  • Clear and accessible.
  • Thoughtful and reflective.
  • Professional but human in tone.
  • Structured with headings and short paragraphs where appropriate.

We welcome both analytical and personal perspectives, provided they offer meaningful insight or relevance to workplace and leadership discussions.

Editorial Process

All submissions are reviewed by the Fair Play Talks editorial team and may be lightly edited for clarity, tone, structure and consistency. Where appropriate, we may suggest refinements to strengthen alignment with our editorial approach and audience.

Due to the volume of submissions, we may not be able to publish every contribution.

At Fair Play Talks, we believe responsible leadership is defined not by what organisations say, but by how people experience the workplace.
