Tate & Lyle has announced the appointment of Lauren von Stackelberg as its new Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer.

In this new role, Stackelberg will lead the development of Tate & Lyle’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy, policies and programmes to create a truly inclusive and diverse culture and workforce; reflecting the communities it operates in and the customers it serves. She will leverage purpose, improve ‘lives for generations’, create a more inclusive and diverse workplace and drive equitable health and nutrition outcomes for its communities and customers. Stackelberg will join the global food and beverage company on 19 April, reporting directly to the company’s CEO. In addition to becoming the company’s first Chief Equity Diversity & Inclusion Officer, she is also one of the youngest women to join the C-suite of a FTSE 250 company.

Stackelberg has a strong track record of leading and delivering transformational change across a range of sectors including technology, travel and financial services. She most recently served as Global Head of Inclusion & Diversity for Expedia Group; and prior to that she was JP Morgan’s first and founding Head of Client Diversity Strategy.
