Dods Diversity and Mind and have joined forces to host an event on Supporting Mental Health in the Workplace. Scheduled to take place on 5th March 2020 in London, it will provide actionable advice and best practice on how to create positive change around mental health in organisations.

Anyone with an interest in improving mental health in the workplace, such as employers, HR managers/officers, wellbeing officers, line managers, health & safety officers/providers and trade unions will benefit from attending, say the organisers.

Mental health is the third most significant cause of absence in UK workplaces –  affecting 1 in 4 adults in the UK. “This has wide ramifications for employee engagement and staff turnover in your organisation,” according to Dods Diversity and Mind.

REMOVING STIGMA

The Mental Health Foundation estimates that policies addressing wellbeing at work increase productivity by as much as 12%. These policies are often simple, related to removing stigma, encouraging open conversations, and ensuring that mental health is a workplace priority.

The event will help delegates to:

  • Learn how to support and protect colleagues and tackle mental health in the workplace.
  • Earn a CPD certificate.
  • Explore new ideas on staff wellbeing and learn to put them into practice.
  • Hear from leading figures in mental health on how to support staff and counteract loss of productivity.
  • Enjoy an opportunity to network with top speakers and fellow colleagues.
