Business Disability Forum (BDF) will reveal the winners of 2021’s Disability Smart Awards at a virtual ceremony tomorrow.

The awards, sponsored by Microlink, celebrate businesses that have helped transform the lives of disabled people in the workplace; and in society. From senior leaders and D&I practitioners to great customer service providers, the Disability Smart Awards offer organisations the chance to showcase their work across a wide range of sectors.

Join Diane Lightfoot, CEO of Business Disability Forum and special guest host, actress, presenter, speaker, writer, and disability rights campaigner Samantha Renke, to find out who has won this year’s Disability Smart Awards. The award organiser will announce the winners at this year’s ceremony, on Thursday 2 December from 3-6pm.

DISABILITY CONFIDENT

As part of this year’s Disability Smart Awards, BDF has worked with the DWP Disability Confident Team; to recognise those employers that have underlined their commitment to the Disability Confident scheme. As well as hearing from finalists and winners, Wendy Irwin from the Royal College of Nursing and Jules Lockett from London Ambulance Service, will reflect on the impact of the last two years on the NHS; from both a staff and patient perspective.

The ceremony will be closed by keynote speaker LaMondre Pough, CEO of Billion Strong; who will be joining from Texas in the USA, for a global perspective on what makes an organisation Disability Smart.
