The 2024 National Diversity Awards attracted over 2,500 nominations on the first day of opening (on 12 March), confirmed the organiser.

Now in their 13th year, the National Diversity Awards honour and celebrate charity role models and community heroes. Organised by Inclusive Companies in association with ITV News, the National Diversity Awards 2024 are supported by headline sponsor HSBC UK. Other sponsors include Kantar, Ovo, The Open University, DirectLine Group, AutoTrader, Manchester Airport Group, Lush Liverpool and Able Magazine.

The National Diversity Awards are a highlight of the diversity calendar as they bring to the fore the efforts and achievements of extraordinary individuals flying the flag for equity across the full spectrum of race, faith, religion, gender, gender identity sexual orientation, age, disability and culture.

CELEBRATING CHANGE MAKERS & ROLE MODELS

“Diverse communities are the backbone of British society,” stated Ian Stuart, Chief Executive of HSBC UK. “We are incredibly proud to be the headline sponsor of the 2024 National Diversity Awards, helping recognise individuals and groups who are making a positive impact on diversity, equity and inclusion across the UK.  We look forward to celebrating the incredible role models and change makers nominated this year.”

Often, individuals and organisations who show outstanding devotion to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion go unnoticed. The National Diversity Awards aims to put that right by encouraging nominations in the following categories:

  • Positive Role Model: Age / Disability / Gender / LGBT / Race, Faith or Religion
  • Community Organisation: Age / Disability / Gender / LGBT / Race, Faith or Religion / Multi-Strand
  • Lifetime Achiever
  • Celebrity of the Year
  • Entrepreneur of Excellence
  • Diverse Company

INSPIRING CHANGE & MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The closing date for nominations is 15 May 2024 with finalists named in the week commencing 1 July, 2024.  Winners will be revealed at the star-studded black tie awards ceremony at Liverpool’s Anglican cathedral, hosted by Clare Balding CBE.

“The National Diversity Awards are hugely important as they celebrate individuals, groups and organisations whose outstanding commitment to enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion are nothing short of inspirational,” stated Paul Sesay, CEO of Inclusive Companies and founder of the National Diversity Awards. “These people are often unsung heroes whose efforts and achievements might otherwise not be noticed outside their immediate communities and networks. Not only do the National Diversity Awards bring them the recognition they deserve, they serve to inspire others to be brave, stand up and make a difference.”
