Goldman Sachs has announced the promotion of Megan Hogan to Chief Diversity Officer.

She has replaced Erika Irish Brown; who will be joining Citi as Chief Diversity Equity & Officer and Global Head of Talent. Hogan has served the investment bank in several roles since 2014. As Chief Diversity Officer, she will oversee all firm-wide programming focused on the development, retention and promotion of diverse professionals. This includes initiatives and events organised by the global inclusion networks. In addition, she will manage the firm’s external partnerships with organisations focused on promoting inclusion and diversity.

Hogan will also continue to serve as Chief Operating Officer of the Global Inclusion and Diversity Committee, confirmed the bank. In that capacity, she will work closely with leaders across the firm to help advise on firm-wide, divisional and regional inclusion and diversity priorities.

“Megan has already played a critical role in developing and implementing some of the firm’s most important inclusion and diversity initiatives, including the announcement of our firmwide aspirational goals; the launch of the Neurodiversity Hiring Initiative; and the recent expansion of the firm’s commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities,” stated Goldman Sachs’ Global Head of Human Capital Management Bentley de Beyer.

Goldman Sachs’ CEO David Solomon also congratulated Hogan on the new role. “She brings a wealth of experience from her time leading our diversity recruiting team; and the expansion of our partnership with HBCUs,” stated Solomon. “No one’s better equipped to drive our global diversity and inclusion strategy. and I look forward to working with her in the months ahead.”
