Educating Out Racism

Organised by the founder of Educating Out Racism and equity educator Laila El-Metoui, this event aims to provide practical tools to achieve race equity and improve belonging in education.

The half day programme, sponsored by the LGBTQ+ business network myGwork, will explore race equity in education through an intersectional lens. The half-day workshop will help provide answers to the following questions:

  • How can education providers ensure inclusivity and a sense of belonging in educational settings?
  • Why/how do micro-aggressions and racism play out within learning environments, and what can we do to combat it?
  • How can education providers work more intersectionally?
